Let My People Sing’ Festival Celebrates Israel’s 60th

‘Bloggers for Israel’ Will Publish 60 Posts in 60 Days

Los Angeles, March 25, 2008 - Jewish entertainer Craig Taubman will be producing the third annual ‘Let My People Sing Festival’ May 8-11. This year’s festival, titled 60for60, will feature 60 hours of events celebrating Israel 60th anniversary.

As part of the festival, Craig ‘N Co. has teamed up with Rabbi Yonah Bookstein, founder of the Jewlicious Festivals, and David Abitbol, founder of Jewlicious.com, to produce ’60 Bloggers for Israel’.

Beginning on April 8th and continuing for 60 days, bloggers from around the world will share their thoughts about Israel with thousands of readers at the festival website, www.letmypeoplesing.com, at 60bloggers.com, as well as on their own sites. Rabbi Yonah shared, “Bloggers for Israel is a unique opportunity for us to celebrate Israel’s 60th and unite in our love for Israel. Now, more than ever, we need something to sing (and blog) about.”

60for60 festival events will take place throughout Los Angeles and are free of charge to the public. Major Sponsors include The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, Sinai Temple, ATID, the B.R. Cohen Family Foundation, and many other Jewish and non-Jewish institutions.

“I’m so proud to be partnering with key pillars of Jewish communal life to deliver this project to the Los Angeles community,” said Taubman.

This year’s festival kicks-off on May 8th with the Faith Jam for Israel, featuring award-winning artists Alberto Mizrahi, Rick Muchow and Yuval Ron. The following day, a special edition of Friday Night Live will host the Consul General of Israel and musical guests Hadag Nachash. On Saturday morning, the celebration continues with a special One Shabbat Morning service at Adat Ari El in North Hollywood. Visit www.letmypeoplesing.com for a full calendar of events.
